RAINFOREST PUBLICATIONS ROOTS
We have made a considerable effort in the research and development of our Field Guides to ensure that we are as environmentally friendly as possible while maintaining our high-quality standards and integrity.
To this end, we have done the following:
In our office, we recycle all our office paper products.
Our printer cartridges are returned to the manufacturer for reuse.
We do not "out-source" in the production of our guides.
We work as much as possible with local businesses to reduce transportation costs.
We print on Endeavor paper which features a high recycled content.
Our printer, Capitol City Press, located in Washington State, makes a concerted effort to invest in technologies that conserve raw materials and minimize waste. By keeping on top of developments in recycled papers, and vegetable-based inks managed through their special canister ink system and bindings, they continue to challenge themselves as a leader in environmentally friendly printing.
Below is a list of ways in which they reduce environmental impact:
Recommend and use recycled papers whenever possible.
Recycle all paper in both productions as well as in all offices.
Use vegetable-based inks.
Inks managed in a closed canister ink system reduce ink waste by 40%
Recycle all metal plates.
Participate in buying Green Power offered through Puget Sound Energy
In the spirit of recycling and repurposing any of our guides that are misprinted or need to be reprinted for scientific changes are used in our local US schools for art projects and more.

Shipping Orders:
We ship to most international destinations, including Canada and Europe. Orders to Mexico and other Latin American countries are only available to ship to US-based addresses.
If your order does not include proper and adequate S&H because it’s to an international destination that is outside our predefined zones, we reserve the right to either add S&H or issue you a refund, if we do not ship to that destination. If an adjustment is necessary, we will email you first.
We reserve the right to adjust the S&H cost up (or down) for large orders. International shipments cannot be insured or tracked unless shipped by Express Mail per US Post Office policy.

Rainforest Publications' Fold-Out Field Guides are designed to slip into a pocket so that your guests can easily access the guide and identify the critters they see while on your walk, hike, and excursion. Our flat guides easily fit into a small tote or daypack. After your guests go home, they will remember the experience you gave them every time they review your custom wildlife guide.

Rainforest Publications' fold out pocket guides are approximately 24" by 8.75" (61 cm by 22 cm) when spread flat, and contain twelve 9 cm by 22 cm "pages" plus a front and back cover pages. When folded, they are only approx. 3.5" by 8.75" (9 cm by 22 cm) and easily fit into your pocket.
Our popular Single Sheet (flat) Guides are 7" by 11" (17.85 cm by 28 cm) printed on two sides. We use a 10 point print stock sandwiched between two 10 mil rigid polyester films. These guides will withstand all the natural elements and have proven to be enduring long lasting rugged field companions.
